A big issue that I faced in the production my film was that there were some major issues with the quality of some of the clips I shot that needed to be in the film. There was issue with the sound of these clips as some were to quite and some include background noises such as traffic that overpowered the dialogue. This meant that some of the scenes in the film had to be re-shot and the original location used was now unavailable. This proved a big struggle as I now needed to figure out a way to re film the scenes while using a set that fitted the previous location. I decided that I would use the green screen when re-filming these scenes as it meant that I was able to add an image of the set that would fit the location. This meant that there was continuity of the short film throughout which made it seem more realistic and helped me to set the scene how it was originally wished to be.
However, after filming my scenes and I was adding an image to the background I found that there was another issue that I faced. This was that I struggle to find an appropriate image that would work with my scenes. I had to consider what images i used and look at the brightness, quality and the overall look of the scene before picking a final image.
Lighting
Lighting was another issue that I faced when I making my film. As I was making my film during the winter my daylight time was limited. This meant that the lighting in some of my scenes the lighting had to be altered in Final Cut Pro in order to make the scenes appropriate. I had to toggle and alter the brightness of some of the scenes so that the images were clear enough to be added into my film. This was necessary as these scenes were vital to my short film.
Camerawork
Camerawork was not a massive issue that I faced when making my short film. I felt that the shots that I used were appropriate and helped to deliver a different point-of-view of the characters. I used an POV shot when the characters 'Chloe' and 'Katy' were arguing as this helped the audience to see things from the POV of a character and see things as they were. However, I also used a long shot in a lot of the scenes in order to establish that the main character 'Chloe' was very lonely and tended to distance herself from others.
