My favourite genre is Horror. I like horror because I like the extremes people are able to go to and the individuality that there is with each film and sometimes film franchises. In most horror films they stick with a cliché, for example, a ghost or a murderer. However, what I think makes these films great is the different stories and plot that have been created by the writers that are original and usual. This is what I think draws the readers in.
These are two horror films that both include a doll in their plot. These plot lines have been taken from the official IMDB website.
Annabelle
A couple begins to experience terrifying supernatural occurrences involving a vintage doll shortly after their home is invaded by satanic culture.
Child's Play
A single mother gives her son a much sought after doll for his birthday, only to discover that it is possessed by the soul of a serial killer.
Although they have a similar background plot both films have their individuality. By taking the films to the extreme's with their different plot lines, it helps to differentiate the films from each other and others films. This is what I think draws viewers in and make them memorable.
