Features in my film

Revelation

When thinking about a plot for my short film I thought about many things that I would want to be included in my film. One of these is a revelation. This I feel would make a good ending so after deciding that it would be a good thing to have in my film I decided to do some research and looked at some examples of short films that featured a revelation at the end.

"The ​act of making something ​known that was ​secret, or a ​fact that is made ​known."

I found a short film called 'Stay Out of the Woods'. Stay out of the woods features two young girls walking home through the woods who encounter 3 masked 'villains' who persue them and then proceed to beat them. The film ends with the girls escaping and finding help in a friend named Chase who we see driving a car. The revelation occurs when as the girls are shown safely in 'Chases' car that we see a mask sitting on his lap. A mask of one of the villains.

I found that this revelation was good and interesting as it showed how people are deceiving and that in films anything could happen. It also gave me ideas about how I could include a revelation into my short film. I liked to plot twist that their friend was actually the villain and I felt that that help to make the film more original and helped to inspire and interest the audience.
